HOW TO GROW MIX COSMOS FROM SEEDS
Generally, Cosmos prefer full sun unless the temperature is exceptionally high, in which case part shade is tolerated. Prepare the soil by removing weeds before planting. But too much moisture can make the soil disease-prone. The soil prefers dry, arid environments over wet ones. Avoid nitrogen-containing fertilizers to encourage foliage to develop more quickly than flower blooms. In the spring, scatter seeds can be planted after all danger of frost has passed, as sprouts will grow quickly. Taller varieties should be planted one to two feet apart, while shorter varieties should be planted ten to twelve inches apart. When your Cosmos grow too tall and gangly, you may want to stake them.
CARE FOR MIX COSMOS AFTER GERMINATION
Cosmos have hollow and tubular stems with multiple branches. The flowers should be cut back after the first bloom to encourage continued growth. Trim well-established blossoms rather than just removing them if your Cosmos has well-established flowers. Keep watering until new blossoms appear. Plant Cosmos together, so they keep their upright position. Stake taller varieties if the wind is strong. Mature plants can adapt to drier conditions and require less watering even though they need moisture when they are young.
USES AND BENEFITS OF MIX COSMOS TALL
It helps you manage pests and pollinate your plants by keeping sufficient pollinator insects in your garden. As well as pollinating and feeding pest insects, cosmos flowers attract beneficial insects, including lacewings, parasitic wasps, tachinid flies, and hoverflies. Cosmos bipinnatus is the most common species of Cosmos, but it is not considered edible. Since it doesn't have any harmful properties, children and pets can grow around it safely.
