Banana Passionfruit Seeds | Taxo Curuba
HOW TO GROW FROM SEEDS
For a better result soak the seeds for a day or two in warm water before planting. You can plant seeds 2 to 4 cm deep in moist, well-drained soil. Keep soil temperature consistent at 20-25 Degrees Celsius. Cool soils will significantly delay seed germination time if not inhibit germination altogether. Germination time under optimal conditions may take 6 weeks to a few months. In some cases, seeds can take up to a year to sprout.
CARE AFTER GERMINATION
The seedlings of 3 months of age can be transplanted, and they need to be trained onto a horizontal trellis approx 2 meters high with crosswires 40 cm apart. The first crop will be produced in 2 years. Almost all types of passionfruit vines require regular watering, especially when the vine is young and when it's flowering and fruiting. Water deeply a couple of times a week, depending on weather conditions and climate.
