HOW TO GROW FROM SEEDS
Coriander is one of the easiest growing herbs. Early in the summer, seeds can be planted outside in well-prepared soil or in pots filled with multipurpose compost. The seeds should be thinly sown and lightly covered. Germination will usually take between 7-20 days. For a constant supply of leaves, plant every three to four weeks. You must thin your seedlings so that there is a gap of 10cm between plants and ensure that they are in a sunny spot. Keeping the seed moist and well covered is part of the benefits of sowing undercover. Propagate at 15-18°C.
CARE AFTER GERMINATION
After a few days, the seeds will start to germinate. Moisture should be maintained in soil and compost, but overwatering should be avoided. Premature flowering can be caused by dry soil or compost. Plants are normally not fed, but occasionally feeding them some liquid fertilizer can be helpful. To prevent a halt to growth, weed regularly around seed-producing plants. Keep the moisture level constant.
