HOW TO GROW WHITE COSMOS TALL FROM SEEDS
Put seedling trays or small pots full of compost, seeds of good quality, or sieved seed. You can use a little block of lumber or the back of your hand to firm down the compost lightly. Sow the seeds directly on the compost surface, one per cell if possible. You should add a small pinch of seeds to each cell, then cover with a centimeter-thick layer of compost or vermiculite, after moistening the compost with water, drain and label. It can be placed in a heated propagator, or it can be covered with a plastic bag. Transplant seedlings into separate pots when they have two pairs of leaves.
CARE FOR WHITE COSMOS TALL AFTER GERMINATION
It's not necessary to prepare the soil for Cosmos. Instead, they prefer soil that is not too rich because rich soil will promote foliage rather than blooms. A well-draining soil is also important. Cosmos can tolerate hot, dry weather. They are even drought-tolerant. These plants will self-sow throughout your garden.
In some cases, staking may be necessary because of these plants' tall stature. They can, too, be grown against a fence to provide support. If you over-water or over-fertilize, your cosmos may produce fewer flowers. Please Make sure to water regularly, but not too much.
USES AND HEALTH BENEFITS OF WHITE COSMOS TALL
You can never hold enough pollinators and predator insects in your garden that help manages pests and pollinate your plants. Cosmos flowers attract beneficial insects, including lacewings, parasitic wasps, tachinid flies, and hoverflies, for pollination and feeding on pest insects. Cosmos bipinnatus, the most common species in the Cosmos family, is not considered edible. It is safe for children and pets to grow around since it is not harmful in any way.
