Beautiful Rainbow Chilli Plants can be grown from seeds very easily. Plant the seeds indoors eight weeks before the outdoor temperature reaches 20-30 degrees Celsius in early spring. The seeds should be sown in moistened seed starting soil in a shallow nursery flat. Light aids germination, so sow the seeds no deeper than 1cm the Rainbow Chilli seeds need temperatures of 28 degrees celsius and bright light to germinate. If there is a lot of light available, position the tray near a window. Whenever the soil feels dry on top, water the seeds every day.


It will take one to three weeks for the encounter of the first seedling. Upon maturity, Rainbow Chilies can reach 70cm in height, so they require a lot of space. Make sure the base of the pot has multiple drainage holes to allow excess water to drain. The rich potting soil that contains perlite helps hold moisture around the roots. Seedlings are ready for transplanting into permanent containers once they have sprouted a few sets of leaves. The plants will prosper and produce fruit when they receive regular watering and feeding. The yield of the Rainbow Chillies' fruits can be enhanced by a general utilization fertilizer.
