HOW TO GROW WHITE STRAWBERRIES FROM SEEDS
Strawberry seeds need to be started indoors to be ready for their regular growing season. To ensure that strawberry seeds will grow, they must be stratified before planting. To do this, put the strawberry seeds in an envelope or sealed plastic bag and store them in the refrigerator for a month. Since strawberry seeds need to be planted by February to prepare for harvest, start stratification in January. Stratification is necessary for some seeds before sprouting. During cold stratification, you mimic the conditions a seed might experience in nature. After reaching through the stratification process, put the seeds 1/2 inch deep into a container filled with sterile seed-starting mix. Press the seeds gently into the surface without covering them.
CARE FOR WHITE STRAWBERRIES AFTER GERMINATION
Light is necessary for strawberry seeds to germinate. Within one to six weeks, the seeds will germinate. They transplant the seeds into larger containers six weeks after their germination is recommended. An extra six weeks, your strawberry seedlings are ready to plant outside. You can harden off your strawberry seedlings by placing them in protected areas for half an hour at a time. Slowly increase the time the plants spend outside. The seedlings should be transplanted into the garden once hardened off. Space them two feet separated, and be sure to plant them in well-drained and acidic soil. Strawberries need full sun to grow. While they are in bloom, you should water them at least an inch a week. Strawberry plants do not have deep roots, so they do not require deep soil to grow.
USES AND HEALTH BENEFITS OF WHITE STRAWBERRIES
As well as adding strawberries to smoothies, sorbets, pies, jello, and salads, strawberries can also be incorporated into different recipes. Children love strawberries because of their flavour and colour; mothers love them because they allow them to experiment with different foods and make them look extra tasty. These potent little packages protect your heart, increase HDL (good) cholesterol, lower your blood pressure, and guard against cancer. Strawberries are low in calories and are rich in vitamins, fibre, and polyphenol antioxidants.
