HOW TO GROW FROM SEEDS MARIGOLD CALENDULA

You can start Calendula seeds indoors in a seed starter mix approximately 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date. They can be planted directly in the garden after the last spring frost. You can use any organic potting soil that drains well or make a mixture with half garden soil and half compost. Make sure you have plenty of drainage holes in your pot because this plant dislikes moisture. A balanced fertilizer should be used regularly to feed potted specimens. Sow directly in March and April or in August and September

HOW TO CARE MARIGOLD CALENDULA PLANT

Keeping the soil moderately moist is the best way to grow calendula plants. If possible, let the container thoroughly dry before rewatering. It is unnecessary to fertilize compost-containing soil, but it can be augmented with phosphorus to encourage new blooms. Keep your plants in the partial shade instead of the full sun. Calendula prefers the cooler temperatures of spring and early fall to the heat of the summer. Calendula does not require any additional fertilizer or feeding. The best place to grow calendula is in vegetable gardens.

BENEFITS OF MARIGOLD CALENDULA

Pot marigold's common name refers to its use as a cooking herb in addition to its many health benefits. Although the herb is typically grown in pots, its blooms thrive in pots, where it thrives. The herb's antifungal and antimicrobial properties help prevent infection and heal injuries to body tissues. A study showed that calendula might also relieve muscle fatigue, reduce cholesterol, and treat cancer.
